Meet The Doctors

Gregory Allen Osborne, DDS has been practicing general dentistry in San Antonio since 1981. His interests have expanded into treating patients with sleep apnea and snoring, straightening teeth with Invisalign orthodontics, and dramatically improving smiles with porcelain veneers.

While enjoying all areas of general dentistry for all ages, he is known in the dental community for his innovative delivery of dental care to the geriatric population in our city. Dr. Osborne has established two satellite dental clinics in area retirement communities. They have become models for bringing dentistry to people who would normally have difficulty getting to the dentist.

Dr. Osborne received his DDS degree in 1981 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. He has an adjunct faculty appointment in the Department of Prosthodontics at the dental school. His BA was from Texas A&I University in Kingsville.
He is recognized as a Fellow in the Academy of Dentistry International for his efforts to serve the dental and oral health needs and to improve the quality of life of the people throughout the world.

He is a long-time member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the San Antonio District Dental Society. He is a member of the Texas Academy of Dentistry, Academy of Sleep Medicine Dentistry, and Christian Medical and Dental Associations. Texas Monthly Magazine recognized him as one of the top 10% of Texas dentists in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Dr. Osborne is married. They have three wonderful daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, fishing and gardening.

David Singleton, DDS graduated from Baylor Dental School of Texas A&M Health Science Center in Dallas.  After serving in the U.S. Army for 2 years, he established his dental practice in White Oak, Texas, serving the families of that community for over 20 years.  With a strong interest and experience in dental mission activities along the Mexico border, Dr. Singleton moved to San Antonio and joined with Dr. Osborne in 1997.
 
He is experienced in all areas of dentistry including the latest techniques in implants, cosmetic dentistry, and dentures.  He received his Bachelor and Master degrees from North Texas State University, with an emphasis in Immunology & Microbiology.
 
He is past president of Gregg County Dental Society and an active member of the San Antonio District Dental Society, the Texas and American Dental Associations. He serves on the Christian Medical Dental Association of San Antonio advisory council.  An honorary membership in the Academy of Dentistry International was awarded in 2009.

Dr. Singleton is married with two children and 6 grandchildren.

Susan A. Raquet, DDS has been practicing dentistry since 1985. Since 1993 she has been at Oakwell Dental working with Dr. Osborne and his staff. She treats patients of all ages in all areas of dentistry.

Dr. Raquet grew up in Ohio. She moved to Texas with her family in 1979. After over 25 years of residency, she now qualifies as a new Texan.

She attended Ohio State University and the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1985. She has had over 100 hours of continuing education classes. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the San Antonio District Dental Society. She enjoys the outdoors and photography. Her main hobbies include snow skiing, water skiing, and scuba diving. Be sure to ask to see her photos during your visit.

Dr. Dylan Carey, DDS is the newest member to our practice. Dr. Carey graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in May 2011. Before dental school, Dr. Carey earned his Bachelor’s degree at Abilene Christian University. Dr. Carey is a native of Lubbock, Texas and grew up on the outskirts in a rural farm community.

Dr. Carey has been trained in all aspects of dentistry. Since he has recently graduated from the dental school, he has been taught the latest technology and has been exposed to the newest teachings in dentistry. The dental school provided superb training in restorative dentistry, dentures and partials, pediatric (kids) dentistry, cosmetic dentistry Invisalign, and more complicated surgeries. He happily welcomes adults and kids into the practice. Dr. Carey is certified in sedation dentistry and looks forward to providing you with a great and anxiety free experience at Oakwell Dental Care.

Since before dental school, he has been very involved in service and mission work. He has been on numerous weekend dental mission trips down to the border and one 7 week trip to Guatemala. He is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and is active in the local San Antonio chapter. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentists (AGD), the Texas AGD and the San Antonio District Dental Society.

Dr. Carey has been happily married for 3 years now to his college sweetheart. She teaches World History at John Marshall HS. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and biking, reading and hanging out with their newest family member, a yorkie named Goober!
